I'm a Prescott, Arizona based photographer and printer. It hasn't always been that way.
Over the course of my years I've been a great many things. Economist, Network Engineer, Wireless Design Engineer, Operations Manager, and National Director of a large scale wireless corporation.
Now I've added photographer and giclee' reproduction specialist to the list of occupations, and I'm thinking these will be the last that carry me through my days!
Through a strange set of circumstances (illness & divorce) I found myself on the road in 2006 with a 25ft Airstream Safari trailer. I was searching for a place that would accomodate a unique medical issue, and more importantly a place to call home. I traveled the U.S. with my Airstream photographing, writing for Airstream Life Magazine, and searching. In March of 2007 I found my home in Prescott, AZ.
My photography is more about showing people the places I've seen than anything else. I enjoy sharing unique spots that not everyone gets to visit. In a recent interview for an Arizona magazine the reporter got a little thrown off by my answers and said, "It seems like you're passionate about travel and hiking, and not as passionate about the artistic side of the photography." I think I agree with her.
I've been improving my photographic techniques in order to portray what it is I see when I visit unique locations. Initially I did it to share everything I could with family and friends back on the East Coast. Then when a nationally known photographer and friend suggested I work toward a broader audience I decided to continue improving my photographic skills further in order to show everyone the places I've been and enjoyed. With or without a camera I'll always be exploring. But it sure is a lot more fun to create amazing images that wow others and convince them they need to go out and see the big broad world as well. So I guess you can say I'm a traveler who wants to share with as many people as possible.
I sure hope you enjoy my photographic works. And I sincerely hope you get out there with or without your camera as well. Don't wait for the world to push you. Go!
